The City of St. Louis, through PlanSTL and in partnership with the Office of Recovery, is launching community-driven planning in tornado-impacted neighborhoods. They are now accepting applications for Neighborhood Planning Committees in Plan Areas 4, 5, and 6.

Plan Area 4

West Cluster: Wells-Goodfellow, Hamilton Heights, Kingsway West
Central Cluster: O’Fallon, Penrose
East Cluster: College Hill, Fairground Neighborhood

Plan Area 5

Academy, Fountain Park, Lewis Place

Plan Area 6

Mark Twain I-70 Industrial

These committees will shape the vision for their neighborhoods, serve as ambassadors, and ensure plans reflect resident voices. Learn more here.

For those that meet their eligibility guidelines, Legal Services of Eastern Missouri is available to assist with the following legal issues:

Document Replacement
- Birth Certificates and state-issued ID (such as driver’s license)
Contractor Rip-Offs
- Avoiding and combatting construction contractors that cheat homeowners
Evictions & Rental Conditions
- Including illegal evictions for tornado damaged or destroyed rental units
School Enrollment, Accommodations & Homeless Enrollments
- School enrollment or transportation issues related to families who have been displaced
- Damage to school-issued technology (Chromebooks or laptops, for example)
SNAP (Food Stamps) & Medicaid Issues
- Including replacement EBT and Medicaid cards
Homeownership Deed & Title Issues
Property Tax Issues
Domestic Violence Resources

The Northside Resilience Fund
The Northside Resilience Fund needs volunteers to support with pre-check for gift cards, application assistance, gift card distribution, and greeting and checking in recipients. Sign up for a shift here.

Operation Food Search is asking for donations and volunteers to support their relief work getting emergency food, clean water, and personal care supplies to impacted individuals. For a list of urgent donation needs and to sign up for volunteer opportunities visit their website here.

United Way of Greater St. Louis
In coordination with community organizations, disaster response teams, emergency management, and the local government, United Way of Greater St. Louis is working to identify where volunteers are most needed. See current volunteer opportunities here.
