Alongside the Directors of Advocacy and Partnership and Capacity Building, Michael Shultz coordinates the routine logistics and operations of Deaconess Foundation’s grantmaking, programmatic, and advocacy activities. He provides relationship management and constituency support to partners and prospective partners for grant proposals, convening requests, and general inquiries relating to the Foundation.
Michael joins Deaconess Foundation from Maritz, LLC, with over five years of experience in Information Technology. For the past 18 months, he has fully engaged in community and tenant organizing projects, most recently with Homes for All – St. Louis. Michael pursued post-secondary studies in and has a passion for studio art and oil painting. He, with a combination of skills in project management, leveraging technology, and organizing community campaigns brings an invaluable perspective to the Foundation.
Michael currently resides in St. Louis city, and can frequently be found in Tower Grove Park.
